The Family Support Provider is responsible for providing targeted support services, to provide a system of care that is child-centered with the needs of the child and family dictating the services provided, to assist in keeping the family together and preventing an out-of-home placement.

To be effective, the Family Support Provider will work with children in their homes and communities, incorporating the entire family and cultural heritage in utilization of the best practices model as communicated by the State of Oklahoma. The Family Support Provider will maintain close communication with the Project Director, and other clinical and administrative staff in order to assure the highest quality of services is delivered to the juvenile consumer and his/her family.

Requirements:



  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • HAVE LIVED EXPERIENCE AS A PRIMARY CAREGIVER OF A CHILD OR YOUTH WHO HAS RECEIVED SERVICES FOR ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: SERIOUS EMOTIONAL DISTURBANCE; OR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER, OR CO-OCCURRING SUBSTANCE USE AND MENTAL HEALTH; OR A CAREGIVER WITH A CHILD WELFARE /CPS INVOLVEMENT.
  • Specialized training and/or certification in mental health services or related field as required in order to meet requirements for billable services and/or adjunctive services, i.e. SOC training and updates.
  • Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements.
  • Exhibit ability to effectively organize and plan field-work, schedule to best service and maximize the needs of consumers, i.e. arranging home based meetings, agency meetings, and care coordinator meetings.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with clinical, administrative, and support staff in order to develop professionalism and coordination within the team to maximize services available.
  • Ability to effectively interact with staff, consumers, family members, administration and the community, both in person and on the telephone.
  • Must possess a Driver's License and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.
  • Must transport clients in personal automobile (mileage reimbursement available).
  • May occasionally have to work past 5:00 to accommodate client's schedule.



CCBHC Model of Care

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery. Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to:



  1. Increased access to care and crisis services
  2. Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
  3. Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
  4. Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
  5. Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.



Drug-Free Workplace Policy

This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not exclude any applicant; however all employees are subject to the Family & Children's Services Drug Free Workplace Policy.
