Outside Sales Trainee to work at our Fort Wayne area location. The Outside Sales Trainee is responsible for Learning the aggregate sales process, including identifying new business, generating, and pursuing leads, and servicing customers.

Responsibilities
The Outside Sales Representative will:
- Travel alongside the Regional Sales Manager to visit new and existing customers.
- Learn to sell and promote product(s) within an assigned geographic territory
- Work with Manager to develop and maintain productive working relationships with customers and operating partners
- Learn to leverage technology available (CRM, Oracle, JWS, etc.) to better manage customer relationships and provide the highest level of customer service and solutions
- Work with Manager to investigate and provide solutions to customers' product concerns.
- Learn to identify new markets and target specific accounts and prospects to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Learn to develop new applications and opportunities to maximize customer value and company profitability
- Work with Manager to leverage market feedback to communicate and support the development of new products and services with Levy's technical experts and management team.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the company's products, services, and policies.
- Learn to analyze market-based on key drivers and recommend direction to GM of Sales and Marketing and Operations Managers
- Learn to provide product quotes to customers as required and negotiate terms as required
- Assist customer with delivery logistics
- Provide technical assistance to meet customer needs.
- Professionally represents the company at industry, trade association, customer, legislative and technical meetings, and various social and business functions.
- Engage in a leadership role with technical and working industry/associations committees to effect positive change in line with company objectives.
- Develop working relationships with key state, county, district, and city engineers, purchasers, QC/QA and Lab personnel, field inspectors, project managers, and specifiers to educate them on aggregates and be their technical resource when questions and issues arise
- Participate in special projects as required.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- One to three years of sales experience, preferably in outside sales and/or aggregate sales
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related curriculum or equivalent sales experience
- Able to demonstrate past success at managing the sales process and achieving sales goals
- Ability to travel 90% in territory with overnight up to 20% of the time
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Independent problem solver who works well in a team environment
- Knowledge of construction materials and related industries preferred but not required
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office products
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds, sit, stand, walk for extended periods
- Ability to tolerate noise and temperature variations
