Waste Connections has an immediate position available for a detail orientedRecruiting Coordinator for our Southern Region located in The Woodlands, TX. Thisposition is well suited for an individual who thrives working in a team environment and enjoys a fast-paced , communication focused position with many opportunities for professional development.

A Day In The Life Of A Waste Connections Recruiting Coordinator:

  • We are a busy, high energy company so your time will be spent assisting the Recruiting team with the hiring process for our collections operations, transfer stations, and landfills throughout the Southern Region.

  • This is a full desk/full cycle recruiting department and the Recruiting Coordinator role is crucial for efficient execution! In the Coordinator role you will organize and assist onboarding, job posting, sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, arranging travel, administering assessments, processing background checks, processing offer letters, and maintaining all records in the applicant tracking system.

  • Your relationships with the recruiters and region staff are crucial. Expect daily communication with them as you are their partner in coordinating all steps of the hiring process.

  • Pro-active, creative sourcing is an ongoing process that we want you to bring your creativity and research talents to! Growing your knowledge of social media, job platforms and local grass roots recruiting opportunities will be a continuous goal of this position.

  • In the midst of it all, you need to keep the recruiters updated on status of all your efforts and progress including managing tracking and documenting all steps of the hiring process.

Desired Experience:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while demonstrating sound judgment, decision making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality, even in high stress situations.

  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills with the desire to master additional systems as needed, including applicant tracking systems, customer relationship software, basic graphic design software, and systems used to process pre-employment information.

  • Previous experience with customer communication, in person or via phone, is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
