Empath Health is seeking to hire a President, Hospice Programs in the Bradenton/Sarasota area.

  • Promotes and practices the Empath Hospice Division mission, vision, and values and follows policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, effectively communicating throughout the organization. Analyzes and identifies areas for improvement, demonstrating practical, innovative means to problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Establish positive working relationships with providers and the community at large and serves as the "Executive Face" of the Hospice Division and affiliates in all communities served.
  • Senior executive representative for Hospice program, engaged in outreach, events, activities in all communities. Promotes community awareness and maintains productive relationships with referral sources and community leaders
  • Works effectively with the Board of Directors, including providing executive presentations at board meetings keeping them informed of the Division and affiliate strategic goals, objectives, and key results; providing updates of industry trends; key organizational issues; quality and service performance; and material activities.
  • In collaboration with Empath's Chief Hospice Officer, represents the Hospice affiliates on a local, state, and national level, including with policy makers, regulators, elected officials, and various associations, such as FHPCA and NHPCO.
  • Serve as the primary hospice senior executive representative for volunteer meetings and events, including presentations at annual Volunteer Town Halls, appreciation events, and educational programs.
  • Other duties as requested.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: Minimum of Bachelor's degree required in; nursing, healthcare or business administration, marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five to seven years of progressive Hospice or Health Care executive level administrative experience with emphasis on business planning, organizational development, financial and human resources management.
  • Must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee's HR file.
  • Extensive understanding and experience leading admissions, marketing/business development, and clinical practice.
  • Licensure: For Nursing Degree- Registered Nurse required- currently licensed in the State of Florida
  • Colleague must sign a Business Protection Agreement.
