About the Role

As the Engineering Department Manager for the Thermal Solutions Integration Team (TSIT) business segment, you will take a central role in building and scaling a robust front-end process to meet global demand for sensors and diverse heater types, including cartridge, cable, tubular, ULTRAMIC, thermal spray FLUENT, flexible, band, and strip heaters.

You will design and implement comprehensive frameworks for regional and global product value streams, ensuring seamless execution and scalability. This role involves driving operational efficiency, developing engineering support systems, and fostering cross-functional collaboration with product management, design engineering, supply chain, and operations to deliver innovative and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity Management



  • Establish and Scale Processes: Develop and implement workflows for evaluating, quoting, and designing new business opportunities.





  • Drive Operational Excellence: Optimize quoting and design workflows for efficiency, consistency, and scalability.



Talent Management



  • Build and manage a high-performing team to support and scale front-end operations in alignment with growth objectives and timelines.



Process Standardization



  • Define, communicate, and implement standardized engineering processes.





  • Lead initiatives for global standardization of tools, processes, and systems.



Technical Support



  • Provide technical expertise to meet customer requirements and enable robust, standardized catalog solutions.





  • Participate in feasibility and opportunity reviews.



Continuous Improvement



  • Lead change initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.



Leadership and People Management



  • Oversee front-end operations, including goal setting, performance management, competency development, and employee engagement.





  • Ensure alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience.





  • Proven project management experience.





  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deescalate internal and customer issues.



Desired Qualifications



  • Leadership experience in front-end operations.





  • Demonstrated success in managing engineering processes, procedures, and tools.





  • Proficiency in resource management to meet project objectives and timelines.





  • Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product management, design engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
