ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr. Business Systems Analyst gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications, targeted for Payroll and Human Resources, to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives. - Prepare programming and system documentation for other programmers and users in compliance with external and internal standards
- Supervise and providing training; develop and maintain end user documentation related, specifically, to JD Edwards Payroll and HR modules and generally to JD Edwards E1 as a whole
- Evaluate the current state of business technology resources and identify new technologies or upgrades/enhancements to existing technologies that have the potential to improve business performance
- Conduct cost/benefit and buy/build analyses, present findings to management, and make recommendations
- Meet with end users to assess business objectives and define user needs
- Coordinate the work of development teams, ensuring that technology is appropriately installed or configured and integrates with legacy solutions
- Stay informed of emerging technologies or changing organizational objectives
- Conduct task analysis and interact with system users in order to identify chances for the improvement of productivity, integration, and to decrease costs
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including installing, encoding, debugging, and testing to support the organization's application systems.
- Serve as a liaison between development teams and the internal/external customer or end user
- Follow an established requirements-gathering process to identify requirements
- Communicate requirements to the development teams through the use of specifications, statements of work, project plans, or other forms of documentation
- Coordinate with developers, quality assurance teams, and users to test processes and ensure functionality and user acceptance
- Provide expert-level support for processes including but not limited to Payroll, Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end processes
- Provide expert-level support for HR processes, including but not limited to, employee onboarding, annual open enrollment, and 401K integrations
- Assist in developing design considerations, cost analyses, and execution timelines for Payroll and/or HR initiatives
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed primarily in a Company-designated office or field location

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in progressively-responsible programming and systems analysis related roles
Preferred Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or institution
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of JD Edwards Payroll and HR modules and associated object and table structures
- Familiarity with iCIMS and iCIMS integration with JD Edwards E1
- Ability to design new IT solutions
- Ability to understand complex database systems
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Solid knowledge of electric construction industry
- Strong knowledge of system analysis and workflow management
- Strong organizational & time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Sound knowledge of documentation procedures, programming procedures and methods, operator instructions, and program flow charts
- Ability to provide solid customer service and exercise diplomacy
- Extensive knowledge of technology
- Good verbal and written communication skills
WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $135,000-$150,000 / year
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
