EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Network Systems Engineering, Data Science, Telecommunications, or a related field from an accredited US institution.

As part of our Network Systems and Security Research team, you will engage in one or more of the following activities:



  • Contribute to research projects aimed at enhancing network reliability, security, and deterministic performance.
  • Analyze and model application performance dependencies on network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop proof-of-concept solutions as part of the Unified Networking Experience (UNEXT) initiative.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and deployment of innovative network solutions leveraging advanced AI/ML techniques.
  • Develop AI/ML algorithms to analyze, predict, and optimize network behavior.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to the Nokia Bell Labs teams and leadership.


  • Good understanding of network systems, network standards, and distributed computing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Ability to conduct data analysis and model network performance scenarios.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
