We are seeking a self-motivated person that is able to manage multiple concurrent projects, has a passion for developing new technologies, is very analytical and understands how to optimize, and has the interpersonal skills to work with all levels of operations and corporate management.

What You'll Do:



  • Utilize software such as AggFlow, AggQC, CrusherQC, Historian Tools, and Mobile Equipment tracking.
  • Engage with site personnel on process and training opportunities related to field and historian data
  • Lead field studies focused on plant utilization and optimization
  • Evaluate Historian data, identify opportunities for operational improvements, and analyze potential plant changes.
  • Develop training tools for all levels of operations personnel including area/plant managers, supervisors, and plant operators
  • Develop data-driven reports for operations management to use in daily and weekly production meetings.


Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent 5 years' experience in the aggregate industry.

Experience: Experience in aggregate testing and aggregate production plan operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Possess strong initiative, motivation, assertiveness, and a positive attitude. Must sustain high ethical and moral standards;
  • Safety-first attitude and willingness to communicate any concerns to peers
  • High degree of aggregate plant and product knowledge
  • Ability to inspire creativity, integrity, stewardship, and loyalty with peers;
  • Knowledge of how plant automation programs work (not necessarily how to program) and how PLC logic controls a plant.
  • Understanding PID loops and how to optimize.
  • Understanding of instrumentation such as belt scales, level sensors, VFD's, etc.
  • Ability to anticipate, plan and coordinate events and proactively think through hypothetical "what if" scenarios to develop contingency plans;
  • Thorough understanding of aggregate qualities, blending scenarios, and plant setups to determine how plant changes could impact a plant's ability to meet quality and State agency requirements;
  • Understanding of all VMC quality information systems;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation and speaking skills in group settings
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; self-directed and motivated; highly organized;
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn the operation of new software programs
  • Utilize Aggflow and other simulation-type programs to model and analyze plants and potential changes to plants;
  • Must be able to collect data in secure, organized formats such as Excel and Google Sheets. Must be able to analyze, formulate, and present data using software tools such as Tableau or Power Bi
  • Utilize Historian to monitor plant efficiencies and production and monitor changes to the plants;
  • Evaluate trending information and make recommendations to optimize plant performance
  • Train operators in the utilization of data and improve their understanding of plant processes.
  • May assist Operations and Technical Services with other functions as necessary
