Location:

Marysville, Ohio - Hybrid Remote role (~75% remote)

Job Purpose

We're on the lookout for a visionary Senior Data Architect to join our Data Architecture team. In this position, you will lead play a vital role in defining/fine-tuning data architecture standards and best practices, including the vision, strategy, and principles for managing and interacting with governed data.

In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in crafting high-performance data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and expanding data access and governance. You'll work cross-functionally with diverse teams, including data analysts, business analysts, and stakeholders, to understand data requirements and create scalable and efficient data models and reporting systems. You'll define and achieve our strategic objectives with business teams and senior leader to ensure we're meeting strategic goals and establishing global benchmarks for data architecture.

Your expertise will help Honda drive the development of high-performance data systems, uphold data integrity, and broaden the horizons of data utilization and governance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with Team and Unit leadership to deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture - create, prioritize, and effectively deliver the vision.
  • Design, develop and promote data strategy, architecture, methodologies, and standards for modern platforms.
  • Provide vision and thought leadership on High-Level Architecture and Design, to establish data architecture frameworks.
  • Interpret and deliver impactful strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Support the development of technology strategy and roadmaps across data and analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and develop architecture solutions.
  • Create, maintain and define Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models for various projects using relational theory and dimensional modeling, align them to Enterprise Architecture
  • Drive business impact with efficient data pipeline management, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Deliver exceptional business value by enhancing data pipeline performance, ensuring timely orchestration, and upholding data governance.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage and analytics.
  • Build strong North American and global partnerships, fostering trust and meeting stakeholder needs.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering or equivalent work experience.


Experience:



  • 7+ years of experience in data management working asa data architect with a good foundation of experience indata modeling/data structures (star schemas, OLAP cubes, etc.)
  • 7+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Information Management and Business Intelligence
  • 5+ years of advance knowledge of designing & working with multi-dimensional data modeling, i.e., entity relationships, star/snowflake schemas, hierarchies, attributes, measures, granularity/aggregation


Skills:



  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka, Dataflow), and modern data warehouse tools (Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Experience with various database platforms, including DB2, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, MongoDB, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Knowledge of master data management, data cataloging and organizing data using multi-dimensional analysis.
  • Experience withtools like Power BI, Tableau, BO, QuickSight, Synapse, Qlik.
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies, especially in advance data analytics and AI/ML
  • Familiar with applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Dynamic, self-driven professional with a strong sense of ownership
  • Leader who demonstrates, inspires, and fosters team success and individual growth and a team player who has a proven ability to build trust and influence.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Working Conditions

  • Estimated 75% remote and 25% office environment. Remote work is based on business projects and team members on-site needs.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Limited domestic travel
