Minimum Qualifications:

With submitted materials, the candidate must demonstrate

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in Biology, Ecology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the date of initial appointment

• Five or more years of post-doctoral or professional experience with expertise in freshwater biogeochemistry and ecology

Preferred Qualifications:

• An active research agenda or evidence of research productivity including peer-reviewed publications and grant award success in freshwater ecology and biogeochemistry

• Expertise doing analytical chemistry using a rapid-flow analyzer, mass spectrometer, inductively-coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer, and a laser ablation laser ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer

• Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students resulting in peer-reviewed publications or national science meeting presentations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Current knowledge in the field of freshwater ecology and biogeochemistry

• Skilled with the use of multiple element analysis

• Knowledge and expertise doing analytical chemistry using a rapid-flow analyzer, mass spectrometer, inductively-coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer, and a laser ablation laser ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer
