LSSI is hiring afull-timeProcurement ManagerMondaythroughFriday. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, from identifying suppliers/vendors to negotiating contracts and managing supplier/vendor relationships. This is a hybrid position and will require 2 days on site every week for Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop, implement and maintain procurement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Identify potential suppliers/vendors and conduct thorough evaluations to ensure they meet LSSI's requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers/vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions, including but not limited to pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Monitor supplier/vendor performance and address all issues and concerns promptly to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Conduct cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.
  • Maintain familiarity with industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including but not limited to contracts, pricing, and supplier/vendor information.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers/vendors to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide guidance and support throughout the procurement process.
  • Responsible for supplier/vendor management including but not limited to Information Systems security requirements per LSSI policies and maintaining Business Associates Agreements.
  • Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages, defects, logistics issues and other issues that may arise affecting delivery of products.
  • Prepare andprocessrequisitions andpurchase ordersfor supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and allocation of charges across LSSI programs.
  • Responsible for reporting actual costs to programs for transparency.
  • Work with CFO and CIO to ensure budgeting and vendor costs are accurate.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a supervisory/managerial role required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (CSCP, CPIM, CPSM) preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and supplier management principles required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software required.
  • Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
