Primary Duty

Supervise all aspects of the wood treating process. This includes safety, administration at the plant site, planning, scheduling, production, shipping, quality, product development, environmental and technical compliance, responsible for purchasing untreated raw materials and selling our treated products, and personnel management.

Essential Functions

Direct production and manufacturing in accordance with established process and product specifications, quality standards, delivery schedules, and standard costs to continually improve the efficiency, economy, and safety of the operations.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions. Generate new sales by actively promoting our product line and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Annual Budget preparations
  • Conduct cost-saving analyses and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in month-end inventory and reconciliation.
  • Understand and analyze monthly P&L statements for accuracy
  • Provide a safe work environment for employees that meet or exceed regulatory compliance levels.
  • Purchase various wood products and manage inventory levels.
  • Coordinate the various phases of operation to ensure efficient workflow and assignment. Accomplish this by working closely with maintenance, technical and quality resources, raw material procurement, safety and environmental.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of our equipment.
  • Responsible for the coordination, facilitation and supervision of the facilities quality programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement, identifies and responds actively to the needs of all customers and is open and responsive to change.
  • Typically supervises the daily activities of 4 or more employees. Decisions guided by policies, procedures with oversight from manager.

Minimum Education/Experience/Physical Functions

College degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function. Must have a minimum of five (5) years' work experience in the wood treatment industry.

Position requires analytical and problem-solving skills; a good working knowledge of computers; and excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to generate and understand production models.

Must be able to obtain a State of Florida Commercial Pesticide Applicator License, a requirement to purchase chemical products for the treatment of wood.
