Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

College of DuPage seeks a full-time, tenure track faculty member to teach Architectural Design courses starting in August 2025.

Candidates should be able to teach a variety of classes within our program which could include beginning design studios, presentation, portfolio, architectural history and theory courses. Teaching responsibilities may also include other coursework within the pre-architecture curriculum including building technology, structures and architectural software courses.

We are actively seeking innovative, collaborative colleagues who regularly examine their pedagogy and practices in order to foster more equitable, accessible, and inclusive student learning.

Faculty duties include classroom instruction, assessment, curriculum development, advising students, professional inquiry, committee work and engaging with instructional technology.

Teaching assignments may include various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats during days, evenings and weekends. Faculty positions may not be fully remote.

Qualifications:

Education

Professional degree in Architecture (M-Arch or B-Arch), or Architecture license required.

Master of Architecture Degree preferred.

Experience

Teaching experience required.

Teaching experience in a community college preferred.

Min 3 years relevant professional work experience preferred.

Foreign Transcripts: Transcripts issued outside the United States require a course-by-course analysis with an equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA.
