This opportunity is in the Claims Department.

Our Claims department oversees both high-exposure workers' compensation and liability claims. As an unbundled carrier, we work actively with third-party administrators (TPAs) and self-administered accounts to assist in guiding claims to a successful resolution. As an excess carrier, the catastrophic claims we handle keep our group challenged, but the uniqueness provides plenty of growth opportunities.

Role Description:

As a Claims Maintenance Coordinator, you will handle essential administrative tasks within the claims process. This includes managing claim records, maintaining accuracy across platforms like ClaimCenter and SICS, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Your work will directly support our claims department in providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Receive and analyze new claim reports.
  • Create, update, close, and reopen claim records for various lines of business.
  • Review and upload policy information to ensure claims are matched with appropriate coverage forms.
  • Monitor and manage claim queues and reports for updates or new claim setups.
  • Maintain vendor listings in PeopleSoft for check requests.
  • Collaborate with claims department personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain logs and production reports.
  • Provide backup support to Specialists and Assistants as needed.


Qualifications:

Education:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required


Required Qualifications:



  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • 45 WPM typing speed required
  • Works well independently with ability to take direction from various individuals


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years office experience preferred
  • Insurance or claims experience a plus

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
