THE JOB:

As a Convention and Banquet Set-Up Porter at Park MGM, you'll play a crucial role in creating unforgettable event experiences. You'll assist in setting up and tearing down event spaces for conventions, meetings, and banquets, ensuring that every detail is in place to meet guest and group requirements. Enjoy a hands-on role that keeps you active and engaged as you collaborate with a team to maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness.

THE STARTING RATE: $21.0061

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Set up and tear down tables, chairs, staging, and dance floors for events.
  • Dress tables with linens and skirting, ensuring proper setup of tabletop items like water pitchers and glasses.
  • Transport equipment and supplies using manual flatbeds and carts.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in storage areas and meeting spaces.
  • Follow daily job assignments and adapt to last-minute changes or additional requests.
  • Deliver and retrieve linens for events, organizing and restocking as needed.
  • Ensure water stations and other amenities are refreshed and ready for guests.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Thrives in an active and hands-on work environment that involves walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Has prior experience in labor-intensive roles such as stagehands, construction, or a similar working environment.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Maintains a professional attitude and commitment to delivering top-tier event experiences.
