POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Your choice of hours:

  • Full Time Permanent Weekend Night Shift: 7pm - 7am (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). CT experience is required.
  • Part Time Permanent Weekend Day Shift: 10 or 12 hours (your choice). Hours can be flexible. Saturdays and Sundays. New grads can be considered.
  • Flexi status: Typically, weekday evenings with some weekend support. Hours can be flexible. New grads can be considered.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Trade School Graduate: Radiologic Technology
  • Advanced CT Registry in ARRT or CNMT must be obtained within two (2) years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions).

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Our department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and is an integral part of our stroke team. We have been recognized with the Patient Experience Chart Topper Award. We conduct an average of 100 scans per day. We have three Team Leaders to help support you and the patients that we serve. We offer opportunities to cross train to other modalities through our Pulse Radiology Course that is part of our Tuition Assistance program.

Job Summary

Performs Computed Tomography (CT) and CT guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician; provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.

Advanced CT registry in ARRT or CNMT to be obtained within two (2) years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions). ARRT or CNMT is required. Staff within Sentara CarePlex, must obtain CT registry by 11/1/2016.

Qualifications:

TS - Trade School Graduate: Radiologic Technology (Required) ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Certifications - Other/National, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Certifications - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
