The Personal Trust Assistant will support Relationship Managers, management, and clients, including supervising Personal Trust Assistant staff. Responsibilities include daily coordination of personal trust and agency accounts, ensuring accuracy, and responding to client inquiries. Assist with business development, client presentations, and coordination with internal teams. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations while delivering superior customer service. May manage a small book of business under the oversight of a Relationship Manager and participate in projects.

This person will also:

  • Coordinate account administration for personal trust and agency clients, ensuring timely action and compliance with guidelines.

  • Provide administrative and sales support to Relationship Managers, including scheduling, reporting, and preparing presentations.

  • Assist in financial planning and liaise with internal partners to resolve complex transactions.

  • Supervise and train Personal Trust Assistant staff, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Process client transactions and maintain accounts using deposit and trust systems.

  • Review trust documents for compliance and identify potential risks or deficiencies.

  • Work with Relationship Managers to ensure all account activities meet regulatory and internal standards.

Education

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Paralegal Studies. Required

Experience

  • 4-7 years Banking or office/administrative or paralegal in a trust or investment environment. Required

  • 2-4 years Knowledge of banking, trust and investment products, services, procedures, and practices. Required

Licenses and Certifications

  • CTFA-Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. Preferred

  • CFP-Certified Financial Planner. Preferred
