Job Description |
The Associate Vice President (
AVP) for Enrollment Management reports to the Vice President for Student Success and serves as the College's chief enrollment officer. As a key member of the division's leadership team, this position provides strategic vision, skilled planning, and project management to drive enrollment initiatives. Responsibilities include program development, effective supervision, budget oversight, data analysis, and institutional coordination for strategic enrollment management and the overall student enrollment experience.
As a highly visible leader, the
AVP directs collegewide strategic enrollment planning and implementation in alignment with the College's mission, vision, and values as well as its strategic plan. This role requires ongoing collaboration with key stakeholders both on and off campus and plays a vital role in addressing institutional performance gaps while promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (
DEIB).
The
AVP works closely with the Associate Vice President for Student Development to enhance the student experience by integrating programs and services within the division. Additionally, the
AVP stays informed of best practices in higher education, particularly within community colleges, to champion initiatives that foster continuous improvement and innovation.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Experience |
Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership in a college setting, with experience developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and supervise diverse teams.
- Proficiency in using data to inform strategies and decision-making
- Understanding of best practices and trends in higher education enrollment management.
- Familiarity with student recruitment, retention, and support services.
- Proficiency in enrollment management systems, data analysis tools, and other relevant software.
- Ability to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across, such as the Office of Communications, to develop and execute effective marketing strategies

Preferred Qualifications |
- Ph.D/Ed.D
- MA in Higher Education Administration or related field of study
- Experience working with local K-12 on dual enrollment and early college programs
- Familiarity with developing partnership agreements
- Strong understanding of Slate and Banner Systems

General Weekly Work Schedule |
General work schedule is forty hours per week, Monday through Friday. Additional hours, to include evenings and weekends, may be required based on the needs of the College. |
