Job Description

* Direct management and overall team leadership of an Operations group in a Performance Management System (PMS) setting.

* Responsible for a zero harm culture and processes, tools and behaviors that drive to zero accidents.

* Effectively leads associates, GPLs, TPLs and other people leaders in the relevant areas directly or through influence.

* Supports career development plans and performs team performance evaluations.

* Ensures proper staffing and training for each manufacturing team to meet compliance requirements and customer demand efficiently.

* Drives OPEX, FPMP goals and other KPIs with a high level of team member involvement and engagement.

* Accountable for ensuring system data integrity for manufacturing data elements (BOM, Routing, ACQ, Lead Times).

* Provides guidance in the analysis and scheduling of work and deployment of resources.

* Collect and analyze data to report on plant effectiveness.

* Handles expenses to meet budgets and financial objectives and proactively seeks opportunities to drive improvement of the operating results.

* Increase revenue by meeting customer demands with zero issues.

* Oversees and ensures standards for product quality, equipment and operator performance are maintained and equipment and technology are utilized in the most cost-efficient manner.

* Promotes safety, quality, scrap reduction and production efficiency initiatives throughout production process.

* Promotes employee adherence to standard operating procedures through the process of both accountability and recognition.

* Troubleshoots complex production and quality problems.

* Collaborates and coordinates activities with engineering, plant management, quality and other plant colleagues to address production problems and ensure materials meet quality standards.

* Promotes root cause analysis.

* Leads the development of department budget plans and continuous review of performance vs the key process indicators (KPIs).

* Communicates KPI targets and results on a routine basis.

* Maintain and document clear and detailed records/approvals of all employee work times, showing clear and consistent adherence to company policies.

* Develops and leads the implementation of operational initiatives in support of PMS (e.g., department utilization improvement, process capability enhancement, customer satisfaction, employee involvement).

* Leadership development through talent review, experiential opportunities and talent programs.

Qualifications

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline is required.

* Advanced degree such as an MBA is a plus.

Experience:

* 5+ years of progression in manufacturing leadership positions of growing responsibility, with a preference for experience in Packaging solutions manufacturing settings requiring high reliance on effective equipment maintenance and supply response planning.

* 3+ years of experience in ISO or cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

* Multi-shift management experience preferred.

* Solid ERP system knowledge and an understanding of cost accounting/standard manufacturing financials.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

* Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities with capability to use diverse resources, respond quickly, understand impact of changes and decisions, facilitate agreement, build collaborative relationships and understand customer needs.

* Analytical mindset to drive the connection between business level KPI to a daily metric and identify and pull the right levers to improve the performance.

* Knowledge of process engineering, standardization and documentation and strong organizational and leadership skills, with proven track record to successfully plan, implement and coordinate programs to achieve business objectives.

* Possesses a continuous process improvement approach with the ability to effectively lead and manage change.

* Is energized working in a fast-paced environment.

* Consistent, diligent and accurate in carrying out responsibilities.

* Is curious, inquisitive, innovative, never satisfied with the status quo.

* Possesses a solid working knowledge of other business functions such as Logistics, Finance, Engineering, Planning, EH&S, facilities, in addition to Manufacturing and Quality.

* Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

* Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
