The Highlights:
The International Records Coordinator is responsible for managing the preparation and issuance of Forms I-20 and DS 2019 (F-1 and J-1 visa eligibility documents) for admitted and incoming international students. Acts as a Designated School Official (DSO) on record with SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) and communicates with admitted students regarding all documents required for their I-20 or DS-2019 forms.

What You'll Do:


  • Review documents required for I-20 (F-1) and DS-2019 (J1) issuance for admitted and incoming international students. Clearly communicate with admitted international students regarding missing documents and information needed for I-20 issuance. Review all materials and data submitted via student record systems and verify data integrity.
  • Submit completed I-20 and DS-2019 requests for processing and keep track of any discrepancies and or outstanding requests. Maintain integrity of applicant data/materials by resolving errors within systems and communicating to stakeholders of delays, if any.
  • Distributes all processed I-20 and DS-2019 forms to admitted international students and oversee any subsequent communication and/or questions regarding student deferrals/cancellations that necessitate updates to their I-20 and DS-2019 forms.
  • Manage day-to-day communication and relationship with admit units to ensure there is clear communication about transfer of key data and information required for the processing and issuance of I-20s and DS-2019 forms for admitted and incoming international students.
  • Perform regular audits for quality assurance and maintain key data to improve I-20 and DS-2019 issuance outcomes and timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of training and office experience. This position will serve as a Designated School Officer (DSO) authorized by the Department of Homeland Security and requires U.S. permanent residency or U.S. citizenship for such designation.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and professionally with all university stakeholders
  • Must be able to handle a high-volume and time-sensitive workload
  • Perform effectively in environment with frequent workload changes and competing demands.
  • Experience with Terra Dotta, SLATE, PeopleSoft, and Salesforce preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal law governing nonimmigrant students and scholars a plus

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $18.70 to $20.26.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
