POSITION AVAILABLE

  • Flexi status
  • We are seeking a candidate to work every Sunday or every other Sunday, and who is willing to help fill in for staff taking vacation time or sick time. 12 hours per week can be guaranteed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree: Radiologic Technology
  • Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in a Radiology Tech position (to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound) is preferred.
  • Graduate from MRI school/MRI certificate program in lieu of experience.
  • Must obtain ARRT(MR) advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions).
  • CNMT or ARDMS or ARRT or ARMRIT is required.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Our department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for general and breast MRI. We average approximately 30 scans per day, and we operate 24 hours a day, 4 days a week. We have an outpatient center located on campus as well as an in-hospital scanner.

Job Summary

Performs MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient, and completes departmental documentation.

1 year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred. Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24 month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience. Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred. Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions). CNMT or ARDMS or ARRT or ARMRIT is required.
