Terms and Conditions apply The mission of the Neurodiagnostics Department is to provide the highest quality Neurodiagnostic services to all patients who visit VCU Health. We support our patients with 24/7 Neurodiagnostic testing and offer services across 8 locations within the health system, inpatient and outpatient. Flexibility to various work shifts required given 24/7 operations - specific shift(s) to be discussed during interview process The END Tech I job performs routine electroneurodiagnostic procedures using established protocols and procedures in a clinical lab, inpatient and epilepsy unit setting. The modalities include EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, Wada Testing, EP, NCV testing, ERG and IOM. The END Tech I must be proficient in one modality. Training on other modalities will take place on the job. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Current CPR certification required Experience REQUIRED: Experience and proficiency in 1 electroneurodiagnostic modality (e.g. EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, etc.) and a minimum of six (6) months actively and satisfactorily participating in an approved and supervised END Tech program; or a minimum of one (1) year of basic medical, patient care related experience Experience PREFERRED: Two or more years of work experience in electroneurodiagnostic lab setting Education/training REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent Education/training PREFERRED: Graduate of Electroneurodiagnostic Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs Independent action(s) required: Takes initiative to acquire and maintain knowledge base. Participates in conferences and technical training. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Weekends and holiday coverage for the epilepsy monitoring Unit and STAT EEG procedures.
