Job Description

Manage integrated and centralized Institute-wide services. Manage Institute projects and initiatives focused on new program development and implementation, quality/outcomes, cost/efficiency, site of service rationalization, standardization of care models and protocols and capital prioritization.

The AVP will play a critical role in the development of the Bruce and Robbi Toll Heart & Vascular Institute (the Institute). This newly created role provides a unique opportunity to lead major projects and initiatives to support new program/service development, quality and efficiency of the service line. The AVP also manages centralized Institute operations and acts as a consulting partner, strategist, solution provider, and advisor to senior administrators within the Institute and across the organization, including partnering with leaders from the Healthcare, University and Insurance pillars.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and accuracy to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff and external partners. This position requires the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed operating environment and to manage through influence. Must be a strategic thinker and self-starter, takes initiative, ability to prioritize workload, flexibility to adapt to continual changes and demands and interruptions throughout the day, complete assignments with little direction, know when to seek guidance and ask the right questions, adhere to deadlines and possess the ability to interact with all levels of administration, faculty, staff, and independent and employed medical staff.

-Manage the daily operations Institute centralized functions such as perfusion and echo staffing
-Manage the Institute quality department including the clinical registries data collection and analyses
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of projects related to the hospital-based operating initiatives of the Institute
-Manage and run Institute-wide clinical councils for heart and vascular specialties.
-Partner with supply chain and other internal constituencies on cost-saving initiatives
-Drive the development and adoption of common care protocols and pathways
-Lead execution of new programs and services in Institute hospitals and the rationalization of services across all Institute hospitals
-Create and manage heart and vascular capital priorities
-Maintain liaison with a broad range of internal and external constituents including senior management
-Prepare detailed analyses, reports, and presentations to support the Institute leadership in decision-making processes.
-Conduct financial and operational analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
-Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to provide insights and support strategic planning.
-Represent the Institutes interests and perspectives in various operational committees and working groups.
