Job Title Principal Pgrm Mgmt Associate Functional Title Senior Action Officer Contract position State Location Chantilly - VA - Chantilly, VA US Reston, VA US (Primary) Education Bachelor's Level Degree Job Type Full-time Job Description Senior Level Action Officer - Tasks: Lead, develop, and streamline DAG support functions Identify internal and external issues that may impact the NRO and take appropriate action as approved by the U.S. Government Draft, consolidate, coordinate, and edit executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with organizational strategic objectives; apply an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DoD/IC issues, policies, programs, and procedures affecting the NRO Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers, and other materials based on analysis of complex policy issues and documents Participate in external committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPTs), working groups, and task forces Ensure critical information is disseminated to internal and external agencies including the OSD, ODNI, and mission partner equivalent offices Perform and maintain DAG support functions to include recognition programs, training, and security Manage NRO TIER actions for supported office Analyze and assign or perform actions, as appropriate Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy prior to senior management review Manage and execute the action tracking process, develop standard operating procedures, and serve as facilitator for user requirements Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending, and new actions Disseminate policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the NRO Draft, proofread, edit, and provide final review of internal and external correspondence Coordinate and maintain presentations for audiences up to the NRO-Level, maintain a quality control process for all presentations Participate in DAG-related meetings Manage records generated during the execution of the Directorate's projects and programs IA W Federal Laws and Regulations, as well as NRO Directives and Instructions Desired Skill Set: Senior Level AOs possess the same desired skill set as the Intermediate Level. Desired Education and Relevant Experience outlined in the below table below. Demonstrated experience in one (1) or more of the following areas: federal acquisitions, DoD or the IC budget and finance processes, and National Security Policy Demonstrated experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications Demonstrated experience adapting to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility Demonstrated experience fostering solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations Demonstrated experience analyzing situations and make well-informed decisions Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Business related discipline ( advanced degree preferred) and target 10 years with any government OR target 7 years within IC or DOD OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline AND target 12 years within IC or DoD with 6 of those 12 years within NRO.
