Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$15.64 - $18.75 / hour

The MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) at Healthpark Medical Center is seeking Full Time, Night Shift CNA. Experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred. A current resume is required.

REQUIRED FOR AN INTERVIEW:

  • A current active FL CNA certification which is in good standing, or active CNA from another state in process of transferring to Florida under Reciprocity.
  • Proof of a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Provider certification which does not expire within the next 90 days.
  • Current resume with complete work history

If you have recently moved from another state and have an active CNA certification, you must apply to the State of Florida Board of Nursing for FL certification. During this time while you are awaiting receipt of the Florida certification, you may be allowed to work for 120 days under reciprocity. Please refer to FL Board of Nursing Website: http://floridasnursing.gov/ for information on certification requirements.

Summary

Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health, social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs. May have access to and transport non-controlled medications as directed.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of a State Approved, CNA Education Program required (with at least 120 hours of academic studies and clinical training; 165 hours preferred in Acute Care).

Experience: Previous CNA work experience preferred; or new graduate CNA with clinical training.

Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.

License: Current Florida CNA Certification; or a CNA certification active in another state which is transferrable to obtain Florida certification under reciprocity.

Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology.
