The PantherDining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position will assist the Project Coordinator will support PantherDining projects in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget. This position may require you to be cross-trained with other positions across the department during busier times of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Provides administrative support to staff in completing special projects.
  • Assists directors with the day-to-day tasks of running projects.
  • Provides general office management support. Trains support staff in project-related areas.
  • Gathers resources, equipment, and information to implement projects. Identifies promotional opportunities for projects.
  • Manages project budgets, developing strategies to reduce expenses.
  • Maintains work schedules and ensures project deadlines are met.
  • Divides projects into manageable steps and assigns tasks to internal teams.
  • Communicates with internal teams and other stakeholders throughout projects.
  • Provides information to the public concerning projects.
  • Conducts quality assurance tests to ensure standards and requirements are met.
  • Monitors and reports on project progress.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to identify requirements, scope and goals.
  • Ensures project documentation is up to date.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • In addition to "other duties as assigned", this position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or High School diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other software packages.
  • Knowledge of office policies and procedures.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Effective oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
  • Flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and overnights.
