Join our team! We provide quality, compassionate outpatient therapy care to youth and adolescents up to age 18. Our team is made up of licensed clinicians, psychiatrists, physicians, NPs and psychologists within our esteemed academic health system. The Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician provides assessment and direct support to individuals with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges in all populations with a high emphasis on assessment and coordination of complex trauma, developmental delays, substance abuse patients. We offer our clinicians a yearly stipend toward licensing and CEUs! Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and no weekends, nights or holidays are required. This is a hybrid work opportunity (onsite/remote).
The Licensed Behavior Health Clinician-Child is an independent licensed clinical social worker, professional counselor, psychologist, or clinical nurse specialist that will be responsible for providing outpatient therapy services within the Department of Psychiatry and/or other areas within the health system as needed. Essential Job functions:
Patient Population: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide equitable care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit. Pediatrics (1-12 years), Adolescents (13-17 years) Employment Qualifications: Preferred Education: N/A Licensure/Certification Required: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Nurse Specialist Licensure/Certification Preferred: N/A Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years post licensure experience providing initial psychiatric evaluations and psychotherapy in an outpatient setting Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Must be able to independently evaluate patients, formulate an accurate differential diagnosis, develop, and implement an appropriate course of treatment. Cultural Responsiveness: Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Experience working with child, adolescents, and their families Working Conditions: Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
