The Engineering Manager will be responsible to lead the Design Verification team for components such as vehicles controllers and touch screen displays to deliver high quality solutions for current products and next generation vehicle architectures.



Responsibilities

    Lead a team of test engineers responsible for the verification of vehicle control modules and display applications aimed to deliver high quality software to CNH customers
  • Collaborative partnership with vehicle electronics integration, CE, precision applications and platform teams to deliver the required technical solutions.
  • Technical oversight of design verification team to create and execute tests strategies that deliver high quality solutions.
  • Operational Management of the Lab facility, manage capital investment, new test benches installations and configurations, lab maintenance and inventory.
  • Develop and execute budgets, short-term and long-term plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives. Work with leadership team to maintain accountability to budgets, plans, and initiatives.
  • Talent and career management of individual contributors and technical leads.
  • Drive test efficiencies by test automation and virtual test technologies, continuous improvement and applying industry best practices.
  • Ensure the Quality Systems are understood, implemented, and maintained within the department.
  • Work with leadership staff to develop and monitor metrics relevant to division business model.
  • Set team standards and best practices for test design and verification.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

The annual salary for this role is $138,600 - $166,320 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)



Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering; or related technical field
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with embedded software related field (including systems, testing).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with effectively leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software engineering of vehicle electronics embedded systems like vehicle controllers and/or touchscreen displays.
  • Experience with test strategy and test design for embedded systems
  • Experience with test automation and simulation tools
  • Experience with dSPACE Hardware in the Loop tools, software, and equipment
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation
  • Experience with using tools for CAN/LIN protocols testing and debugging.
  • Experiences in functional safety compliant software development (e.g., ISO 26262 or ISO 25119)
  • Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experiences with various software engineering models and methodologies
  • Ability to understand business and technical requirements to lead test strategy and a common vision to execute.
  • Ability to drive engineering efficiency, including skills assessments, mentoring, and process implementation and continuous improvements to ensure optimized output across internal and external resources.
  • Skillful in coaching, mentoring, and empowering employees to succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate across all levels of the organization both technical and non-technical.
