Overview

Our Social Infrastructure team is looking to hire a senior analyst or junior associate to help analyze, structure, document and execute senior mortgage loans secured on healthcare real estate collateral. In this role you will work with the team to model the financial operations of real estate centric healthcare businesses, draft both investment and credit committee memoranda, assess the clinical and regulatory/reimbursement environment, and engage with third party diligence and service providers, including outside counsel, to close loans. You will be a part of a growing team with a successful track record and benefit from the mentorship and expertise of its senior investment professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Work with a market-leading team focused on originating, structuring, and executing loans in the social infrastructure sector; build financial models and draft investment committee and credit memos

  • Project manage loan transactions that take 6-12 weeks to close, ensuring internal approvals are obtained, and engaging and coordinating third party diligence reports (appraisals, insurance review, environmental review, etc.) from origination to closing

  • Lead discussions with borrowers/sponsors/clients to accomplish the above

  • Work with senior members of the team to negotiate and structure transactions, and document the details of these deals

  • Conduct diligence on transactions, including analysis of financial statements, desk research and site visits across the country

  • Cultivate first-year analyst and intern talent

Skills You'll Need

  • An understanding of financial modelling in Excel

  • Knowledge of basic concepts of finance and accounting

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Critical thinking, especially about risk and reward

  • Project management and multi-tasking

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Experience or education in healthcare and/or real estate

  • Thrive off working in a lean team with a flat structure

  • Self-motivated and self-starter

  • Detail-oriented

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $110K to $175K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
