Job Description

Position: Maintenance Supervisor

Primary Location: Riverton, WY

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt)

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives

About This Role and You

The Maintenance Supervisor at our Riverton, WY UltraPure acid production facility is a key partner in a high performing team, meeting the needs for specialty materials supporting the rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry anticipated to have dynamic growth over the next decade.

They are responsible for overall utilization of plant resources to achieve strategic maintenance and reliability objectives. This includes compliance with Chemtrade Responsible Care objectives including the maintenance and reliability program, preparation and tracking of maintenance budget, implementation of capital projects, and management of all maintenance activities including plant shutdowns.

Qualifications

    Working knowledge of Chemical, Oil Refinery, Power, or Pulp and Paper process equipment to include but not limited to Pumps, Motors, Piping, Valves, Turbines and Heat Exchangers
  • 1 - 3 years of Leadership experience directing hourly employees
  • Experience with safety programs in an industrial facility
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Personal computer and software usage including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Familiarity with SAP - purchasing and plant maintenance module are pluses

Responsibilities

Plant Maintenance and Reliability: 45%

  • Required to perform hands on maintenance activities.
  • Implement policies and procedures and oversee the execution of the plant mechanical integrity program which includes Vibration Analysis, RCFA, Oil Analysis, Infrared Analysis, Maintenance Work Flow, and other developing reliability programs.
  • The maintenance supervisor is accountable for reliability metrics such as plant availability, and for completing the majority of the action items from the corporate database.
  • Oversee the execution of the daily maintenance work schedule.
  • Communicate with Maintenance Planner and operations to add any emergency work to the day's schedule.
  • Utilize the SAP system to assign work orders.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance inspection reports and their completion to schedule.
  • Perform troubleshooting of plant process and/or equipment issues and also lead group troubleshooting meetings.
  • As required will need to work evenings or weekends during plant shutdowns, plant upsets, and abnormal resource issues.
  • Act as main point of contact for maintenance contractors onsite and serve as site construction manager.

Environment, Health & Safety: 20%

  • Accountable for the entire maintenance department's adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • The maintenance supervisor sets the example for safety in the department by leading and auditing daily crew meetings, performing housekeeping audits, and maintaining excellent personal safety performance.
  • The maintenance supervisor also leads or participates in incident investigation and closure of action items.
  • Assist in the development and communication of job safety analyses for plant processes
  • Respond to EHS incidents through prompt and thorough reporting, incident investigation, root cause identification and action item implementation.
  • Assist in tracking and communication of EHS performance metrics.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to the maintenance team to develop a culture committed to safety, environmental awareness and continuous improvement, consistent with the ethic of Responsible Care.
  • Support and develop strategies to effectively implement company and plant goals and objectives (i.e. Responsible Care, RC-14001, operations improvement initiatives).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company policies, plant procedures, environmental regulatory and permit requirements and other applicable regulations and standards.
  • Keep assigned safety procedures, training and education materials up to date.

Cost Control and Reporting: 15%

  • Prepare assigned management reports.
  • Accountable for cost control of daily work and shutdown activities.
  • Responsible for budgeting, scheduling, pre-outage hazard preparation, measurement metrics, critiques, etc.

People Management: 10%

  • Accountable for providing supervision to the execution of maintenance work. Maintain and hold reports accountable to clear performance standards.
  • Communication and observation of the work assigned to the craftsmen.
  • Accountable to follow up on every job assigned to the craftsmen to ensure proper housekeeping of the job site, quality work was completed, and that the work was completed in a timely manner.
  • Promptly address potential performance issues.
  • Manage the maintenance training and education process to ensure the maintenance techs possess the knowledge and competencies to perform their job.

Capital Projects: 10%


  • Development and management of projects.
  • Assist Production and Maintenance Engineers with C.A.R. work and design and evaluate unit operations for process improvements.
