The Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Trucking Logistics Coordinator for our Mill Materials Management location in Fort Wayne, IN. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for daily support functions essential to managing and tracking the trucking fleet. Pay: $25.00+ (based on experience) Shift/Schedule: Days, Monday - Friday Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Trucking Logistics Coordinator will: Procure new trucking brokers Coordinate and manage brokerage accounts and 3PL (third party logistics) companies Ensure broker compliance with Levy standards and monitor certificate of insurance validity Maintain daily communication with sites on trucking schedules Distribute PO numbers to trucking company for pick up and delivery of shipments Verify daily shipment tonnage and manage order completion Maintain and negotiate improved lane rates Trace and track shipments from origin to destination as needed Assist in resolving onsite incidents or concerns as needed Evaluate delivery schedule and modify as needed Maintain accurate lane data in the transportation matrix Maintain records and generate reports for leadership Manage complex scheduling including rescheduling of trucks Create and maintain relationships with brokerage accounts Occasional travel as needed for development Performs other duties as assigned by Manager Skills The ideal candidate will have: A Highschool Diploma or GED Knowledge of Microsoft Office products Knowledge of Asset Management System May be required to work evenings and weekends depending on business needs 1-3 years of Trucking Logistics experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication Ability to speak and write in English To Apply Please submit a resume.
