We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

This is an 8-week program from June 10th through August 13th.

Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the National Campus - Orlando

Hourly rate: $16.00

As a member of our award-winning social media team, the Social Media Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting our content strategy across various platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of engaging content by conducting research in areas like pop culture, entertainment, sports, and more. You'll actively participate in content brainstorming sessions and be directly involved in the ideation process for upcoming campaigns, including the development of the 2025 US Open social media plan.

    Conduct research on trending topics in pop culture, entertainment, sports, and other relevant areas to inform content creation.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas for social media content.
  • Assist in the creation and planning of social media content for key events, including the 2025 US Open.
  • Collaborate with team members to help develop a cohesive social media strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Monitor social media trends and help identify opportunities to engage audiences through relevant content.
  • Assist with content scheduling, posting, and tracking engagement metrics to gauge the success of campaigns.
  • Contribute to the development of creative materials, including graphics, captions, and video content for social media channels.
Who You Are
  • Strong interest in social media, pop culture, entertainment, and sports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a creative and engaging writing style.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date on current trends and adapt them into social media strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) and familiar with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Basic knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
