Contracts Policy Analyst Arlington, VA Pay from : $110,000 K /yr MUST: Active DoD Top-Secret Clearance w/ SCI eligibility Experienced Contracting Policy Analyst 8+ years of experience working in acquisitions field in the DoD specific environments Strong understanding of DoD acquisitions processes and adhering to FAR an DFARs regulations Experience preparing acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation for submission to regulatory agencies and oversight bodies Experience developing and delivering acquisition training programs, workshops, and materials to enhance understanding and proficiency in acquisition policy compliance Experience reviewing acquisition documentation, including solicitations, contracts, and task orders, to ensure alignment with applicable policies, requirements, and standards Experience drafting requirements documents and contract awards/agreements Ability to take a conceptual discussion and build a presentation to convey the message Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to maintain a level of discretion A high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or field is required DUTIES: Analyzes federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions, ensuring understanding and compliance within the organization Provides guidance and support to acquisition professionals, project managers, and stakeholders on compliance issues, policy interpretations, and best practices related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions Interprets and applies acquisition policies to inform decision-making processes, procurement strategies, and contract actions for digital and artificial intelligence projects Maximizes the productivity of the DoD PPBE process through proactive analysis of financial guidance and strategy documentation as it pertains to Joint programs and other relevant efforts Develops and maintains a Future Years Defense Program (FDYP) spend plan for Joint acquisition activities and/or integrated programs Drafts and submits a Joint Acquisition Program Objective Memorandum (POM) for Government review based on validated program requirements Supports requests for information by the Director of the Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) office - Such support will also take the form of drafting Issue Papers and collecting the necessary technical information and cost estimates to provide constructive feedback Conducts research and stays abreast of changes in acquisition laws, regulations, and industry best practices, providing recommendations and updates to stakeholders as needed Supports the preparation and submission of acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation to regulatory agencies and oversight bodies as required Collaborates with legal, procurement, and program management teams to develop and implement acquisition strategies that mitigate risk, promote efficiency, and support project objectives Participates in the development and implementation of acquisition training programs, workshops, and materials to enhance understanding and proficiency in acquisition policy compliance Reviews acquisition documentation, including solicitations, contracts, and task orders, to ensure alignment with applicable policies, requirements, and standards Prepares documentation review for various documents, including acquisition, other program document, and technical papers, and correspondence.
