Newport Healthcare is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Vice President of IT Infrastructure & Operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure and operations. Your leadership will drive innovation and ensure the reliable performance, security, and scalability of our systems to meet both current and future business needs. You will oversee IT financials, budgeting, procurement, and monthly financial reviews, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable IT operations. Collaborating with other executives, you will align IT strategy with the overall goals of the organization and lead teams across various technology domains.


Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and implement a long-term vision for IT infrastructure and operations that aligns with Newport's business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and manage IT policies, procedures, and standards to support growth and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with executive leadership to ensure technology aligns with and supports overall business goals.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including data centers, cloud environments, networks, hardware, and telecommunications systems.
  • Lead modernization efforts in IT infrastructure, focusing on cloud computing, virtualization, and automation technologies.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems, emphasizing scalability and cost efficiency.

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage daily IT operations, including monitoring and management of network performance, server health, data backups, and disaster recovery systems.
  • Optimize and streamline IT operations, reducing downtime and ensuring robust support for business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to IT systems and data security (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA).

Portfolio & Project Management:

  • Oversee IT portfolio and project management processes, ensuring alignment of IT projects with business priorities and goals.
  • Establish governance frameworks for effective project tracking, reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of IT projects within scope and budget through strong project management oversight.
  • Collaborate with other departments to define IT project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.

IT Financial Management:

  • Lead IT financial management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Oversee procurement and vendor management, ensuring efficient acquisition of IT hardware, software, and services.
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews, monitor IT spending, and analyze financial performance to ensure alignment with financial targets.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining optimal IT performance and service levels.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals across infrastructure, operations, security, and service management functions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the IT organization.
  • Oversee IT vendor relationships and manage contracts to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management:

  • Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems, managing cybersecurity strategies, incident response, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with the CISO and other security professionals to monitor threats and ensure compliance with security best practices.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in information security.
  • Experience managing IT financials, including budgeting, procurement, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale IT environments and teams.
  • Experience with network architecture, data center management, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL.
