Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections - SCI Frackville

Oversee the delivery of mental health services at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Frackville! We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our Psychology Department as a Licensed Psychologist Manager to supervise a masters-level psychological services staff and evaluate the effectiveness of the services provided. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the psychological services program at SCI Frackville. You will coordinate the psychological services program with other disciplines and consult with psychiatry and medical staff. You can expect to develop new policies and procedures for existing programs and perform psychological testing and evaluation of inmates. Additionally, you will participate as a standing member of the clinical review team for suicides and attempted suicides, as well as chair the population Psychiatric Review Team.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $86,299.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction.

Special Requirements:

• You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
