DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform a variety of cleaning duties. These include, but are not limited to:
- Sweeping and mopping restroom floors and washing and cleaning all restroom furnishings such as mirrors, toilets, urinals, partitions, walls, and sinks.
- Ensuring that adequate amounts of restroom supplies are available for use and provide replenishment as needed. Discrepancies, such as burnt-out or blinking light bulbs, plumbing leaks, or clogged drains, should be reported to the immediate supervisor.
- General cleaning, dusting, and polishing of office furnishings, office equipment, file cabinets, as well as furniture items, such as chairs, desks, conference tables, bookshelves, and various window and glass cleaning.
- Operating pallet jacks and dollies to move furniture and materials from one area to another as well as utilizing a commercial heavy-duty scrub machine (buffer) to clean and buff floors.
- Removing snow and ice from building entrances, exits, sidewalks, driveways, and stairways while distributing deicing materials where needed.

- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Essential Employee-required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
