Summary: Under the general supervision of the Translational and Transformative Research Core Director and Deputy Director the Translational and Transformative Research (T2) Core Project Coordinator facilitates planning development coordination and implementation of all educational dissemination and research support initiatives for the T2 Core and supports the Admin Core in communication activities for the COBRE on Opioids and Overdose. This person will serve as the Core*s manager. The COBRE on Opioids and Overdose at Rhode Island Hospital is the first center of its kind aimed to collaboratively address the opioid epidemic. This COBRE is a vibrant interdisciplinary center that supports research essential to understanding the mechanisms underlying opioid use disorder and developing innovative solutions. A main objective of the NIH-Funded COBRE initiative is to support the development of junior investigators into independently funded investigators and to develop a critical mass of investigators competitive for peer-reviewed external research funding. The Translational and Transformative Research (T2) Core provides technical assistance in the execution of translation and implementation of science research and supports the dissemination of innovative findings to transform care for opioid addiction and overdose. Other information: Qualifications: Requirements: Bachelor* degree in health administration communications public health or related discipline 1+ years of research or project management experience Highly organized self-motivated outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Excellent problem-solving skills Strong leadership organizational and time management skills Collaborative driven adaptive flexible and creative Excellent verbal communication and written communication related to engaging with key stakeholders and community partners Excellent computer skills (e.g. Microsoft suite) and willing to learn new software (e.g. qualitative data software). Ability to work with video editing software and social media programs a must. Must be able to travel locally.
