Your Role on the Team

Learns professional fundraising and alumni relations concepts; assists in implementing specific fundraising and alumni relations programs and activities. Applies campus and / or medical center policies and procedures and professional practices and principles to resolve routine issues. May maintain reports; provides information regarding program trends and results; conducts basic research and / or analysis on information; assists in preparing materials; and participates in fundraising events and activities as assigned.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $31.60- $34.48 (Hourly).

Required:

  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the campus and / or medical center and with external constituencies.
  • Good organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Skill to maintain confidentiality.
  • Interest in learning and growing in a fundraising environment.
  • Ability to be flexible in working independently as well as collaboratively with Advancement, faculty and staff to achieve defined goals. Use initiative to organize and follow through with complex tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Skill to use a personal computer and computer software programs at the level of sophistication required for the development office. Proven ability to use MS Office programs, donor management databases, and familiarity with the Internet to conduct searches.
  • Proven level of outstanding professionalism in providing high-level coordination for assigned gift officers, including: scheduling meetings, liaison with faculty and staff, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of records management including the proven ability to develop and maintain a system to track and update a variety of information including an accurate detailed calendar.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of the dynamics of fundraising and the concepts of development for academic health institutions.
  • Working knowledge of various University policies, procedures, and finance system.

  • Some local travel as required to attend events and donor meetings
