Position Summary:

Direct Supply is building the future of healthcare technology with industry-leading products, solutions and platforms to help improve the lives of millions of seniors and those who care for them.

In the Distribution and Inventory Planning Intern position, you'll contribute to forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management efforts. You'll collaborate with internal and external distribution teams, providing data access and reporting to ensure customer needs are met. This role plays a key part in our dynamic business, where you'll help shape demand and inventory strategies and assist in developing tools and processes to support them.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in Power BI and SQL preferred.

What You'll Do and Impact:

  • Assist in creating demand forecasts for select product categories, incorporating input from cross-functional teams.

  • Provide reporting on forecast accuracy metrics at both category and location levels.

  • Support order replenishment processes and coordinate purchase order placement to maintain target inventory levels for select product categories.

  • Ensure timely data entry and updates in demand and inventory systems.

  • Collaborate with Data Analytics, Data Science, and Engineering teams on process automation initiatives.

  • Provide internal customer support regarding inventory availability.

  • Maintain inventory and cost-related audit documentation in partnership with key suppliers and distribution partners.

  • Assist in preparing bids for new distribution opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation for the Demand and Inventory Management team.

Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or operations

  • Ability to work part time (15-20 hours) during the school year and full time (40 hours) during the summer.
