Reports To: Plant Manager

What You Will Do:

Ensure the performance of all internal and external physical flows and define/implement the factory inventory policies and best practices. Respectfully leads the flows team of managers, supervisors, forklift operators and receiving clerks and creates 100% employee active engagement.

  • Fully supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the site. Participates in Safety Steering Committee, performs Safety Audits, Safety Coach functions, Manage dept. improvement opportunities, etc.
  • Implement L'Oreal quality assurance, GMP, Safety and Environmental procedures as well as, but not limited to, the Equal Employment Opportunities Policies. Participate in Flows Steering Committee meetings to review policies, best practices, improvement opportunities, etc.
  • Maintain an effective employee relations environment, support site recognition activities. Develop and implement individual and team objectives that achieve overall plant inventory control goals,
  • Ensure the design of flows throughout the Florence Site is dimensioned to manage our business.
  • Efficiently manage the receipt and shipment of all AC/MP/WIP/BULK/PF throughout the Florence site, to our customers and contract manufacturers.
  • Manage inventory and flow with External Warehousing locations.
  • Manage all physical installations related to inventory: lifts, AGV's (automated guided vehicles), racks, batteries, docks, etc. Support dept. CapEx/OpEx projects.
  • Define and implement factory best practices in physical flows training, inventory control, safety and quality.
  • Develop, in conjunction with Logistics department, long term production plans that maximize the efficient utilization of resources.
  • Define clearly the departmental KPI's; communicate consistently to the team and site with benchmarking. Drive results.
  • Support Inventory Health processes (Destructions, ADI management, blocked/reject, etc.)

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in major technical discipline or business required.
  • Engineering degree preferred;
  • Master's degree in Business Administration desirable
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the area of logistics, production and/or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must demonstrate excellent people management skills including the ability to develop a team of individuals capable of producing extraordinary results.
  • Must demonstrate the L'Oreal competencies including, but not limited to, creative problem solving, decision making, achievement orientation, cultivation of talent, and strong communication skills.
