General Information:

The College of Integrated Science and Engineering (CISE) at JMU is accepting applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the Dean. Duties and Responsibilities:

-Provide executive administrative support to the Dean of the College of Integrated Science and Engineering.
-Serve as liaison for the dean with high-level administrators, both internal and external to the university.
-Provide effective communication and collaboration with department heads, faculty, staff, students, and external parties.
-Assist the CISE Dean with scheduling, communication, and special assignments.
-Manage professional calendar and travel details, coordinate events, provide administrative support for university processes and programs, as needed.

Qualifications:

- General knowledge of basic accounting principles, record keeping and data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- General database management and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interact appropriately with diverse groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Event planning, management, and facilitation skills.
- Flexibility to effectively prioritize short- and long-term objectives/tasks to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
