Job Description
ECU Department of English is currently seeking an Undergraduate Research Assistant to support a Public Interest Technology grant funding a Zine Lab at ECU in 2025.

The Zine Lab is an innovative educational and community outreach project which will produce two zines at ECU (topics: reproductive healthcare technologies, technologies affecting survivors of gender violence) and two zines in partnership with Missouri S&T (topics: gender-affirming technologies, technologies affecting women and gender minorities on campus).

This research assistant will facilitate communication between the scholars, students, and community partners who will collaboratively edit these zines, and they will help host and mediate several zine-making workshops. They will also work together with students in affiliated coursework to contribute to a zine archive.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
The candidate should possess communication, collaboration, and content creation skills and be interested in advancing gender justice and promoting technological equity.
