Position Purpose:

Responsible for the creation and production of all aspects of incentive and sales promotion events, contests, and trips, as well as community events, and customer workshops. Responsible for the coordination and production of marketing and sales support materials and promotions. Responsible for the management of agent-focused programs. through member research and promotion, claim review and claim adjudication.

Logistics:

This is a full-time position working (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm working on-site at 4101 Percival Rd. Columbia SC, in an office environment.

What You will Do:

  • Plans, produces, manages and evaluates community sponsorships, member events, sales events/programs and in store seminars. Coordinates the development of posters, flyers, and advertising to promote events to include social and digital media.
  • Manage member-focused programs and services through member research, creating member promotion and marketing plans, claim review and claim adjudication. Works closely with Membership to determine member program eligibility. Provides upper management reports on member-focused program numbers. Department point of contact with the vendor.
  • Coordinates and plans special ad hoc outings for internal/external sales, marketing, broker, agent, provider, retail stores, mobile units and customer communities as assigned. This includes member meetings, sports outings and tournaments, and other one-time promotional events.
  • Maintains bidding list from vendors and inventory of promotional items and collateral. Obtains multiple bids from potential vendors and facilitates the approval process for all vendor-sourced items. Validates receipt and coordinates distribution of materials.

To Qualify for This Position, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree. Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience.
  • 1 year marketing experience. 1 year experience planning/conducting marketing promotions and events. (may be concurrent)
  • In-depth knowledge of design/production process of marketing and promotional materials. Ability to work independently and in team environment. Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines/production goals, make sound decisions. Excellent customer service, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Analytical or critical thinking skills. Knowledge of the travel and hotel industries in order to plan/manage/conduct conferences.
  • Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office.

  • Bachelor's degree- Marketing, Business, Journalism, or related field
  • Prior event planning experience
  • Work Environment: Typical office environment. Work involves travel between office buildings. Work involves out of town travel. Work may involve transportation of materials.
