Advantage Resourcing is hiring a detail-oriented and reliable Maintenance Mechanic in South Gate, CA, for a global forging company. Pay: $22-$35 per hour (Based on experience) We have multiple shifts available to meet your work-life balance needs! 1st Shift Hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday and some Saturdays 2nd Shift Hours: 3 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday-Friday and some Saturdays Essential Functions: Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Disassembles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts in hydraulic equipment such as valves, motors, cylinders, and pumps; conditioning equipment such as grinding and abrasive blast machines; mobile hydraulic equipment; and other plant equipment as designated by supervisor. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance. Daily inspection and record keeping of various pieces of plant equipment. Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; two to five years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to sit, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift 50 pounds. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, mechanical, electrical, analytical, and math skills are crucial.
