Field Automotive Production Technician

We have a contract opportunity for a Field Automotive Tech in Georgetown Kentucky. This position is approved for 1 year and could be extended.

Pay Rate:$30.00 to $39.00/Hr.

Schedule and Travel:

• Overtime: 20%
• Hybrid: (Monday/Friday Remote Work OK if Approved, Tue/Wed/Thurs Onsite Required)
• Domestic and International Travel: Within US and travel to Japan, Canada
• 20%: Approximately 1wk Travel per 6wks per Project Need
• NAMC Production Facilities/Sites
• USA, Mexico, Canada

Note:

Prefer experience with Automotive body welding, manufacturing parts, sales, and cost analysis.

Job Description:

• Planning for NAMC projects layouts and equipment needs, go and see to gather current data (benchmarking)
• Make overall process layout and evaluate equipment modification or new equipment needs
• Evaluate multiple options of equipment plans for project KPI while working with a team
• Establish processes or improvements as needed after experience with existing procedures.
• Support & meet deadlines for simultaneous projects
• Provide feedback to facilitate group development
• Identifying critical judgement criteria and providing studies to support decision making with strong consideration of critical path of decision making for project success.

Requirements:

Technical Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management or Work Equivalent in Applicable Field (Automotive, Industrial, Procurement, etc.) 5Yrs Work Experience
Steel toe boots needed for this role.

A plus but not necessary:
New Model Body Shop Production Preparation Experience Manufacturing Shop Project / Mass Production Experience Planning equipment cost & budgetary estimates experience Vehicle Structure & Processing Knowledge Project Management experience Ability to identify and solve complex problems and investigate related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solution
