Job Highlights
  • Lubricant Esters: Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients in the raw material chemicals sector, focusing on Group V ester base oil products with a focus in lubricants and metal working fluid markets.
  • New Business Development: Collaborate with technical & business development teams to provide product recommendations and solutions tailored to clients' needs, emphasizing the unique benefits of ester base oils for potential customers outside the lubricants market, including personal care, pharma, coatings & adhesives, home & Industrial, and textile markets to attract new customers and grow the business.
  • Further spreadhead new growth in base oil ester sales by identifying & on-boarding other channels to market in the overall raw material chemical markets utilizing our existing assets and raw materials base like distributors, Co-produces, OEM's, etc.
  • Maintain CRM with call reports, key focus projects, potentials, participate in monthly territory reviews, maintain forecast in IBP, expenses in Concur, etc., andother assigned tasks by management.
  • Identify customer & product combination, niche value propositions in, but not exclusively, to the LubricantAdditives market with focus on Esters.
  • Develops relationships with the technical side of the customer for a deep understanding of their customers, markets, products and need for LANXESS produced materials vs. competitive products to understand our niche.
  • Sells value vs. competitive offers to gain customer commitments.
  • Assist in developing product/service improvements for new market opportunities by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors and customer offerings including cross regional initiatives with key accounts and other LANXESS colleagues to understand how LANXESS value propositions fit into different markets.
  • Trade show participation-AFPM, ILMA, STLE and NLGI as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or a related field or comparable experience.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • At least 5years of relevant experience in Estersmarket is required.
  • Must haveknowledge of lubricants, raw materials (base oils, additives, finished products), markets and competitors.
  • Successful track record of qualifying prospects, selling value and closing targets preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Demonstrated key account management skills withexcellent communication skills for local team collaboration.
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate individuals' motivations and reactions.
  • Ability to manage complexity to favorable outcomes.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
