With over 850 employees, Resonant Clinical Solutions provides clinical trial and laboratory supply chain services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and diagnostic laboratories. Overview: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws. The Payroll Specialist will collaborate with the payroll vendors and coordinate across Resonant Benefits, Human Resources, IT and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of payroll systems and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Coordinate with third party managed services vendor to ensure payroll is accurately processed for 850+ employees across multiple countries on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring timely and correct payment of wages, salaries, bonuses, and other forms of compensation.

  • Vendor Collaboration: Act as a liason between the third party provider and the company while ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet organizational payroll needs.

  • Compliance: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and other payroll-related regulations. Coordinate with third-party payroll provider on compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, ensuring all legal requirements are consistently met.

  • Data Management: Maintain and update payroll records in collaboration with third party provider, including employee information, salaries, benefits, and deductions. Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data.

  • Reporting: Review and distribute various payroll-related reports provided by third party provider to internal and external stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budget forecasts related to payroll.

  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner. Act as the primary contact for resolving payroll discrepancies, working closely with the third-party provider to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution.

  • Audit Support: Coordinate with the third-party payroll provider to gather and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and transparency.

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in multi state, multi country environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus but not required.

  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax regulations.

  • Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems, particularly ADP and Workday.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and regulations.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing third-party relationships.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey information to employees and management.

  • Proficient in payroll software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$58,000.00 - $97,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
