What you'll do

Viasat's Advanced Networks Cybersecurity Solutions segment is responsible for developing networking and cybersecurity products and services for a diverse customer base that includes commercial, government and Department of Defense.

This includes designing and implementing sophisticated networking technologies and protocols, as well as implementing cybersecurity measures to protect ViaSat's networks and systems.

As a member of ANCS, you will join a data-driven, agile team to conceive, develop and launch new improved features that help protect and defend Viasat customers from cyber-attacks to make their networks and organization cyber resilient against sophisticated cyber-attacks.


The day-to-day

Accepted candidates will work on cutting edge network products for the battlespace. Creating resilient networking devices and services. Services range from User Interfaces for setup and administration to kernel level modifications for efficient and resilient networking.

Additional Information:

  • This position is located onsite. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams. Relocation assistance is available pending eligibility.

  • Viasat offers the following pre-determined start date options for incoming US Early Career hires:

    • Monday, May 5th, 2025

    • Monday, June 2nd, 2025

    • Monday, July 7th, 2025

    • Monday, August 4th, 2025


What you'll need

  • Completion of Bachelor's degree or higher between May 2023 - August 2025 in Computer Science or a related field
  • A minimum 1 year of professional experience using C++, Python, and network programming
  • Experience with any Linux operating system
  • Experience with ARM based platforms for robotics and AI
  • US Citizenship required

What will help you on the job

  • Prior experience using Python
  • Experience with multiple threads and real-time development

Salary range

$86,500.00 - $123,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $107,000.00- $145,000.00/ annually
