Account Manager - Building Automation Service

Join the Egan team as a Building Automation Service (BAS) Account Manager! The BAS Account Manager will be responsible for meeting and expanding the ongoing needs of our building automation/temperature controls service business within the Automation, Technology and Service Group.


Responsibilities


  • Work with Service Applications Engineer to promote, pursue, and quote Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Owner Directed (O/D) contracts while keeping project Account Managers informed of activities.



  • Support BAS 24x7x365 on call schedule by developing and maintaining the schedule including recruitment of new individuals.



  • Support and maintain BAS project and service personnel schedules through use of Dispatch board. Schedule PM and O/D visits with customers and Technicians.



  • Provide ongoing training and support for all service personnel on service software systems.



  • Maintain record keeping to track open service tickets and open contract hours to ensure all tickets are being closed in timely manner. Host recurring meeting with Acct Mgrs and BAS Mgrs to review service call volume to identify recurring issues and past due tickets.



  • Work with Building Automation Group Manager to staff BAS service business, ensuring proper coverage for come do service call volume as well as PM and O/D scheduled visits. Distribute departments PM workload to appropriate Engineers and Technicians. Work with service contract manager to maintain contract Technician assignments.



  • Provide quality control over service billings by making sure call summaries are turned in and reviewed for accuracy. Work with Account Managers to approve service invoices.



  • Work with Service Applications Engineer to proactively investigate opportunities for improved building operation, energy usage, and control system operation for existing BAS customers. Actively quote and pursue those opportunities.



  • Actively promote and pursue upgrades of legacy systems to currently supported platforms.



  • Maintain stock of legacy system components that can be leased for emergency service purposes only. Maintain stock of current generation system components so come do service calls can be executed in a timely manner.



  • Leverage come do service calls, PMs, and O/D service contracts to generate small project pull through work for BAS group and other Egan divisions.



  • Fully execute projects that meet small project criteria acting in Acct/Project Manager capacity, including quoting, job creation, purchase order generation, manpower scheduling, and billing.



  • Continually evaluate PM task lists and customer PM & O/D contracts to ensure customer's ongoing maintenance needs are being met. Pursue annual contract renewals with focus on growth of coverage.



  • Work with BAS projects team to identify new service customers and assign appropriate service personnel. Work with projects team to get service personnel involved during construction cycle to ensure smooth transition of account into service.



  • Seek out enhanced Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings to extend depth of coverage based on market needs.



  • Provide support for field "quick quote" program by assisting service personnel with material and labor estimates. Encourage service personnel to actively promote and pursue service work



  • Promote all of Egan Company's offerings including: mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building automation, fire, security systems and monitoring.



  • Promote Egan processes and be proactive in creating more efficient ways of operation.




Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.


Qualifications


  • At least 3-6 years of strong, relevant experience within:




    • Building Automation and Control Systems



    • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems



    • Energy Management



    • Engineering Applications



    • Installation Procedures





  • Working knowledge of diverse control platforms and systems




    • Experience with Egan control platforms preferred





  • Ability to present to both internal and external groups



  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic position



  • Proficient in MS Visio, Word, and Excel



  • Strong organizational skills to deal with large customer base



  • Strong communication and presentation skills for customer facing situations




Working Conditions


  • Performance of duties will be in the office and/or at home, customer sites, and jobsites.



  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
