YOUR MISSION
  • Design apparel for the Boston-based Regional Creation Center, based upon directives from product management and merchandising, in order to meet the needs of the North American and Latin American markets.

  • Collect market intelligence, providing all involved with accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments. Partner with Team Head of Apparel Design in creation of seasonal category creative direction, trend, and color presentation.

  • Participate in product range-related meetings, such as design, fabric and trims meetings, vendor meetings, factory meetings and fit sessions.

  • Team with Asia-based development offices and local developers in research of fabrications techniques and applications.

  • Partner with graphic design team to establish seasonal concepts and graphic direction for each range.

  • Conduct regular store visits to key accounts and competition to ensure thorough knowledge of the marketplace.

  • Coordinate with garment developers and technical designers to assure fit and styling.

  • Create and execute apparel products and ranges that are brand, channel and account appropriate and meet the critical cost and margin requirements.

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of detail sheets, CADS, and tech packages based on design time and action calendar.

  • Build presentations and present designs to internal teams.

  • Partner with Global Sportstyle apparel team and Creative Directors to ensure product reflects Puma's design DNA.

YOUR TALENT
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with a design concentration.

  • 1-2 years of related experience.

  • Advanced skill level in Illustrator.

  • Strong design sensibility.

  • Skilled at utilizing product data-base development tool (PRM/PDM).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at various stages at the same time.

  • Knowledge of apparel market, color and trends.

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10%.
